Do you think this article could predict that possibility of a "summer flu" with the use of Ravenswood, an elderly "duel-fuel" generating station on the East River, and as many as 13 other methane-emitting plants around New York City’s five borough to take up the summertime spike in energy needs due to higher temperatures? Here they admit New York's other gas plants, CPV Energy, located east of Poughkeepsie, and another plant in Bayonne, New Jersey, will be emitting 10 to 15 million tons of greenhouse gases into the state’s atmosphere each year and the resulting mix of sulfurics, methane, nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide, derived from fracked gas, with added methane leakage, will seriously thwart respiratory patient recovery efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. They again admit that Ravenswood’s effects on Queens with respiratory health issues and know as “asthma alley." link:
